Replacing the sun with shinyness.

There are plenty of reasons to point out the drawbacks of living 6 months per year in the Netherlands…but c’est la vie! What I can’t shake are the color choices of the new collections in fashion stores (black, grey, brown, grey, white, grey, dark grey, light grey). Yes we know that the summer fun is over, but that doesn’t mean we all need to mourn about it. Perhaps the stores in my region are just an exemption, but nevertheless they don’t cheer me up.
That’s why I scrolled through my favorite labels and decided to present my choice of summery-vibe winter clothes.

(Left) Every time I scroll through  Freepeople I’m happy to discover the variety of creative fabrics and designs. But my bank account and my inner voice of wisdom are crying. Freepeople is expensive! This velvet dress is just gorgeous… let’s hope it reaches the sale department.
(Right) Red is the perfect autumn color and velvet items are in abundance on the fashion websites. Finding these combinations in a Herschel Supply Co bag is just what I need on a dark day.

(Left) If the sun refuses to come out, then why not translate the sun into fashion items? A radiating yellow satin top from one of my favorite brands Glamorous.
(Right) If you stand in the freezing cold for 10 minutes, short skirts aren’t funny anymore.  Replacing them for longer ones from Nastygal is a good idea. Plus, most long skirts have an elegant summery flare. This one is definitely the winner.

(Left) Another gorgeous item from Nastygal. A warm velvet dress with turtle neck is just the thing that will keep you warm and looking great. Plus, in my opinion, emerald green looks good on everybody.
(Right) I’m a hat addict. Wind and rain won’t change that. This gorgeous darkblue hat has that autumn chill, but also that boho vibe of summer.

(Left) A rusty copper long sleeve dress from Missguided. I love how these sorts of dresses could be worn elegantly with high heels, or edgy with leather pants and moto boots.
(Right) Although I’m more a jeans type of girl, these highwaisted wide satin trousers from Boohoo are something special.
