The southern island of New Zealand. I’ve never visited such a magical place before. 4 seasons in one island. You’ll walk from the jungle towards snowy mountains. It freezes and the next moment it’s hot. There is an abundance of breathtaking views and kind people.
I still can’t believe my own pictures. The highlight of the southern island was definitely the encounter with dolphins while kayaking.

Normally you end with one of the most incredible pictures of your journey. But the thing is that this last picture haunts my brain. This is Christchurch, or at least what is left of it. More than 70% of the buildings in this city were destroyed by several massive earthquakes. It feels like a ghost city, but the people here are vibrant and busy building up their hometown again. The streets might be silent but don’t be fooled, many good restaurants, clubs and bars are packed with Kiwis
Great photo’s!!! Love your blog!
