I grew up with so many animals. Sheeps, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits. And the pigs, goats and cows of our neigbours and ofcourse al the creatures in my parents pond. I know everything that lives in there btw (haha). It was my biggest hobbie when I was a little kid, to discover every creature in there. At the age of 13 I already rebelled against eating meat. But my parents weren’t the supportive type as I was always sick. They thought skipping meat would make me ill even more. Turned out it was the milk, sugar and gluten that affected my health system. Once I moved out of the house I haven’t touched meat ever again. That was 7 years ago. I love animals and I live in one of the richest parts in the world with “billion” alternatives in every supermarket. I don’t get people that say they love animals, cuddle their cat and eat a burger 10 seconds later. But somehow I’m still the weird one. Perhaps I’m still a hypocrite because I eat fish sometimes (and people… fish is not a vegetable).
But why do so many people like to point a finger at me for being the weird one, while I can’t hear any good argument for eating a chicken.
